A recent comment by the hate monger himself I found very amusing here it is.

Richard and Janette are obviously both unhappy people. Most of the talk they engage in on the internet is designed to annoy, irritate and fuel arguments. This is how they have fun! The best thing we can do is absolutely ignore their pathetic cries for attention and argument and hope they can both get a new prescription because the current one is not getting the job done!

Now first, I cannot talk for Janette but I can speak for myself and I find this goof way off base. I suggest ya’ll review many of your hate inspired comments Buffy.
I do not hate vintage road racing, just the vocal haters on the message board that Buffy spends time on. Yes big boys the lights are coming on and unfortunately many good people (read the majority) will be damaged.
If you spend your time racing rather than bad mouthing and attempting a revolution, life would be better.
You still don’t get it do you? The reason you had what you enjoyed was because of Jeff Smith, he brought vintage road racing out of the back water, where it might be headed once more. To bad really it is a cool sport, I have enjoyed roaming threw the pits at VMD and in New Mexico. I think the board really missed their chance when a group of you threatened the board that you would leave,,,they should have let you.

oh by the way dildoooooooo spell my last name correctly will ya! gezzzz

Hey Road Racers, the lights are coming on huh? All your sniveling and support of RI is coming home to roost, to bad. I for one could care less and many an MX'er could care less as well. Learn to live with what you have done, by supporting RI you will now lose most of your best events and have less track time where you can race, oh well!

update 3/26/09

I have been enjoying the paranoia and tin hat mentality the road racers are showing. Tim Joystick and the great Dildo (as seen on this blog) are doing their best to show what mental midgets they are.

Comments like this by Joystick are typical

AHRMA bylaws state that the only way to remove a board member is if 9 board members vote them out. Here in lies the problem. As we know from the Smith/Mann cartel, there's not a stinkin' chance that the Board will vote on any level of cohesiveness to have Jeff Smith removed. This leaves us with only one hope: That Jeff Smith will do the honorable thing and resign. God forbid that this ego maniac, power mad, incorrigible corrupt, morally bankrupt fool do the right thing and tender his resignation.....but hope springs eternal.

He goes on other paranoid rants on his web site, and why should Jeff Smith resign when it is RI the vial, vengeful attorney that is the cause of this??? Guess he is just like Dildo and would roll over and take it in the ass because that is the way he rolls!

Seems to me and to the courts that the corrupt and immoral person here is the RI scumbag attorney, but hey when you’re in RI’s pocket or shorts in this case I guess this is how you think. Hey Dildo, when the vote comes down to allow or not allow RI back into the organization, I’ll guess that it will be a unanimous vote of no. Even the road racers on the board can see what a low life RI is. I’ll put the AMA Dingman (DINGDONG) on the same level as RI, I hear the two of them went to dinner together to resolve this, birds of a feather as they say.

Road racing stands to lose in this deal. As the AMA goes away so does a number of the road racers best events, good the whinny bastards deserve it.

Here we go again, the malcontent Mr. Whatyacallit is at it once more. As if it was not bad enough that he took personal revenge on AHRMA and tried to kill it. He also went after the AMA for what? and why? Because he is a vengeful wealthy ego driven person would be my guess.

I never met or talked with this guy but his actions have affected everyone who races vintage in any venue, in a very negative way. Even if you are a supporter of this geek you have to view his disruptive efforts as having long term damaging consequences for all vintage clubs.

I am speculating on this but what I have read and read into the recent letters sent out by the AMA tell me this.

First in true AMA fashion they rolled over and settled with this guy, typical of the AMA.

Second, this has allowed him to further pursue his vengeful ways towards AHRMA using the AMA as the hammer.

Third, if the AMA drops AHRMA because of this fool, do his supporters (road racers) realize that the biggest events for them each year will go away?

Think about it boys, does any other organization provide or even bother with you vintage road racers to the point that AHRMA does?

As I understand it no, sure you can races other org’s but you will not be the main show, just part of a modern show, this will lead to diminishing returns over time, but hey Mr. Whatmacallit has your interest at heart,,,right?

Top Ten Best and Worst for Vintage Motocross by the other MJ

Best

1. That guy with the really nice bike or two, or more who always shows and races, seldom places, yet seems to have more fun than anyone. You know him you used to pass him, but now you see he has actually improved with age, inevitable with practice. Lately, he may have been going to more regionals, and carpooling to races with others. these guys are the real support to our racing -two names come to mind to me, Greg Roth-an Arizona racer who is at least as enthusiastic and anyone, and continues to enjoy both AHRMA and AVDRA events. Also Rik Smits, do I need to say much about Rik? He has put lots of $s into the sport since he is able to, has imporved with time dramatically and is one of the friendliest most approachable people you will find at tthe track-oh yeah, he had a pretty good NBA career too. Like Greg and Rik ,this guy is the true sportsman, his bikes often win awards from tech-and even when not are always prepared, he always has the extra clutch for a CZ, shifter for a Maico etc. Let's thank "this guy" at the races, as he quietly is the foundation of our sport.

2. Dave Janiec-yes the guy who has weathered critcism over and over. He has remained composed throughout a tough period in AHRMA, with the chapter 11 and remergence. Regardless of opinions of the situations that brought AHRMA and its members to endure this time, he has been grace under fire. He is also a source of much technical information.

3. Regional coordinators-all of them. The work put into events is staggering-the calls and contacts with promoters, and trying to satisfy many requests over and over. It is almost unthinkable that they keep their enthusiasm, but they do. Thank you.

4. AHRMA sponsors. Many have sponsored for years, and get little return. They are truly above ego and profit. In spite of some critcisms, we have a few new sponsors this year as well.

5. Dick Mann-he started it all. He has a vision which continues to grow, despite criticisms to the opposite. He knows that we need good tracks, for both Vintage and Post-Vintage racers-and that is the key to success. If the slowest rider on the oldest bike can have a good time, then the rest follows. I know I have heard of the tracks which are just drag races between corners, and I think this is when too many obstacles were bypassed-perhaps a track which when mega jumps are removed- has no remaining character. This is not what Mr. Mann intends or promotes, it is just what he takes the blame for.

6. That ex-pro rider from Oklahoma. He did what so many wanted to. I think God was busy, so he sent "the guy". This is not to discount the level of competition his racing speed has brought at the expert level. Notice, this is what makes the 20 and 30 somethings notice our sport. Read some comments on you tube of some VMX video. We need really fast guys too.

7. Promoters/track owners. They take all the financial risks so we can race-and I am talking about all VMX race series tracks. Thank you

8. Volunteers-in all VMX organizations we owe thanks to the volunteers. Always on the job, some are racers-many are not. With all of the work and none of the glory, they get things done so we can race and have fun. Thank you

  1. The AHRMA racers who voted -we still have trustees who care about preserving the history of motocross in America. That is for now-looking at the results, the membership is changing-and seems more and more are wanting “reform”.

  2. All the volunteers, and those who set up their bikes for display at the AHRMA booths at Supercross races. Yes, we need more people coming into the sport-and must be visible.IMO, this is one of the best opportunites, since we not only have the bikes displayed-but also members present to answer questions.

Worst

  1. The west coast guy and the NW guy who started another VMX series-it now utilizes the class structure from the NW guy's empire. Yes, we do NOT have any GP1 and GP11, but rather just “EVO” for all 75-81 era bikes. Drum brake, no linkage air cooled. Yes, it is a lot of crap that they think a 76 AW for example is at no disadvantage to an 81 Maico, or 81YX or? When you look at the NW guys' structure, he has the 77-81 bikes together and some kind of a trans-am class for some 75-76 bikes. Well, a 76 RM, MC5 KTM, or AW Maico will dominate this class. I realize the 75 bikes are hangin in the wind, but only select 76 bikes would be fairly paired with them-like the 76 Yzs, and 76 CR250s. Make no mistake, this IS killing the 75-77 era bikes. Well, James you say-we have several of them show up. For now you do, but people have and will gravitate to that which is a smoother ride. Then the suppliers will stock fewer and fewer parts for the 75-77 bikes...and so parts will then be too hard to find( no sense in reproducing parts for bikes that are not being raced, no volume)-and so you have now re-obsoleted the 75-77 era bikes. Nice job!

Wait, it gets better. This trend can and will continue until the majority of the bikes being raced will be beaters ( decade era etc)- There are already classes for “modern support”, decade, GP4( pre-90) and so on. I predict that a certain supplier will corner the markey on repro parts for most of these GP4 and like bikes. Wow, we can obsolete a lot of bikes, and who cares? After all it it's about 20years old, it's vintage right? WRONG-I was there racing current bikes some 20 years ago-and while there were some great peforming bikes, they are of little or no historic signifigance. Other than cartridge and then USD forks, they were refinements, very good refienements in some cases-but still lacking historical importance. Disagree? Were you there with me and the almost non existent crowds at SX races from 89-92 or so? I bet not.

  2. The AMA and the Manufacturers. Since the 4stroke displacement rule, 4strokes have killed almost all new 2 stroke bikes. Even the minis have a CRF150 or something. The cost of maintaining a 4 stroke is exponentially higher than a 2stroke. So, for some this created a market for a 2stroke kind of club. Not to mention the young dudes who want to switch back to 2 strokes for the cost, but also kind of a “Vet” club. When the “Vet” kind of racers drop out of modern 4 stoke bikes, would they gravitate to a late model 2 stroke, cheap and reliable, or a vintage era bike that takes more piddling and costs more?

Also, the 4 strokes make way more noise, and even at the same DB level it is a deeper tone. So, we now have more tracks closing-or running limited races( often no practice days)-and who can blame them. They have pressure about the noise, and still need to make a buck. Today, Supercross is something you see on TV that the average rider could not realistically aspire to. Nice job!

  3. The enviro-nazis. Now fueled by the new administration's leftover baby boomer liberals( I thought the whole thing was about giving the car keys to someone born in the 1960s, rather than just more liberals who attended college and smoked weed in the 1960s). We had a tough time with track closings already. Look out for what we may see in the next 4 or even 8 years. Well, James how does SX still race? Well , now the DMG ( Daytona Motorsports Group) owns AMA Pro Racing. While they have yet to micro manage the SX and MX, they will. ..and if you want to fill a stadium with 60 or so bikes running, that is okay-as long as it is for big business. Watch the SX and MX series now as it will soon become another NASCAR esque dog and pony show-for merchandise sales. ..further alienating the average off road rider from racing..and when it happens the “alternative” VMX clubs will be there to pick them up. So neat, there will be the late model 2 strokes, “modern support” -and the “old” 1989 CR250 will be on display as a “curious antique”.

Where will the 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s bikes be? Well, son those things are museum pieces. So expensive that only the affluent collectors and business owners can have them. Hmmmm who is really the elitist here?

I spend too much time interacting on some message boards. Mainly because at the moment I am unable to race, and health issues with the wife, and a lack of money like evryone else is killing me.

I have for some time been dismayed and frustrated with the main AHRMA North West Post Vintage message board. The person that runs it tries to accommodate the many groups that are in direct competition with AHRMA’s membership base. There is a never ending stream of anti-AHRMA smear tactics in use as well as a sickening, sappy stream of grateful platitudes to the opposing organizations. All of this on a message board with an AHRMA logo on its opening page and a direct link from the AHRMA.org home page.

All this and the owner of the web site joins in and seems in favor of the other organizations, yet he is an assistant AHRMA North West coordinator?

I am very disappointed in Jay the owner of the board.

It is my opinion that this has contributed to the declining numbers at PV events.

Fact is the message board has become almost anything but a place to talk about AHRMA events. This frustrated me enough  to remove myself as a member of the message board and I no longer waste my time viewing it. I have also written a letter to the AHRMA board requesting a review of the situation, the message board as it is currently managed should have no link to AHRMA.

Some good news is coming out of all this, there is someone starting a message board dedicated to only conversation about AHRMA. It will not be a place where other organizations can go to advertise themselves as the NWPV board has become. Details on this a little later!

Well we are off to a screaming start for 2009!!! History was made today as we installed a new president. I guess our generation (baby boomers) did make some improvement on society. Even if I would have a hard time proving that after the last smuck in the white house, glad he is back in Texas to stay.

More than that is happening, what I perceive and understand is the fact we the baby boomers are no longer in power. Change has come not only in the person that was elected but to the generation behind us. Our time in the spot light is dimming as has generations before us.

I do not like all that I hear from the new administration, but change it is and a hand off to the younger set, this is life. I am proud to have been part of the 60’s and the good and bad that came out of it.

On the Vintage scene and the AHRMA elections, thank god the voters got out there and voted. There was an underhanded and vile push by a small group of wack jobs to take control of AHRMA. Some very good people were elected and will serve the organization well and keep the intended goals of AHRMA and focus where it needs to be.

So off we go into 2009, I can only hope that I can find a resolution to my personal issues quickly and be able to race some this year.

Oh and a note to the new guy in the White House, don’t believe all you hear about global warming there is a bunch of BS out there. People have to be working for the economy to recover, start with the people, not the corporations and you will succeed.

Trust in the American people not the special interest groups.

THE GREAT DILDO

Since I last wrote about the great letter flap at AHRMA a few more things have come to light. I have entertained myself over the last week debating on a vintage BBS with some insightful people and a few clear dunces.

It is clear, that there is an agenda by the AHRMA Executive Director and Editor of the organizations magazine to undermine people on the board. Despite my factual accounting of the Editors bias and mismanagement, along with the Directors underhanded nature to achieve her goals, some still want to defend them both.

The most rabid and amusing quasi-intellectual we will call Dildo. Give him facts and he changes the subject and attacks me on another sport, guess it’s hard for him to stay focused? Even when I wrote a comment wanting to see a written statement by one of the parties involved and looking forward to it, he does a burn out in his shorts. Someone else had to point out to him that most of that comment was directed to the man being treated poorly by some racers. Dildo went off topic and did his usual war dance, funny really.

My most amusing moment is his defense of Bonehead as mentioned in my last commentary. He seems to think because this guy is a law professor he deserves some respect? Wait, let’s put some facts on that, he is a law professor because he can’t practice law anymore, and he was disbarred. He works at a small two year college, called Lincoln Trail in Robinson IL. He is not even listed as a staff member, what’s that tell you?

This Bonehead at the recent trustee meeting finally admitted much of what he wrote was hearsay and apologized to Dick Mann on the spot.

Back to Dildo, there is nothing worse than arrogant stupidly and he has proven himself to be full of shit and uncontrolled rage, he needs to seek medical help, he has forgotten how to laugh at himself. Oh by the way Dildo has the world stopped spinning? Nope didn’t think so.
