Texas yahoooooooo

Wyckoff Racing is off to Texas for the Diamond Don’s Riverport National.

If there were only one AHRMA National we made during the year, this would be the one. The event is in Jefferson Texas located in the northeast corner of Texas. Don puts on a BBQ on Friday night that is hard to describe then the added bonus of vintage racing on Saturday and post vintage on Sunday.

It has been a struggle to get ready and as I write this we are still dealing with a few issues. This is a 30-hour drive one way and in a 25+-year-old motor home you are always worried about breakdowns. Then again I have friends with brand new pusher diesels that have not made it out of the state, so who knows. They are in a different world though Wyckoff Racing is totally funded by my pay check no sponsors here.

I would like to mention those who do help us.

The web site www.vote29.com is an important site in the high desert. Dealing with land use local and national politics. They welcome input and comments you might not always agree but YOU will be heard. Also Citsvagon werks run by brother Lance known among sidecar people as the bear. You have sidecar questions? He is the guy to contact at citsvagon@verizon.net . Lastly let me plug Al Wenzel he runs the AMA Sidecar Nationals and imports mx sidecars from Europe. He currently has a good stock of used mx sidecars and these are a great way to get into the sport of Sidecarcross. He can be reached at wenzelal@aol.com or 925-250-4449 .
