wow what a week
What a week it has been! There have been contentious debates, accusations and people running interference that should not have.
What, you think I’m talking about national politics?
No I’m talking about the always-amusing LA sidecar click. The court jester CMJ and the only truly responsible and D-37 AMA (word removed by request) got into a debate.
They were doing this on the USA part of the Sidecarcross BBS. In my view it was an interesting debate with an honest issue to be resolved. Some think this should not be done it shows how screwed up the local sidecar click is. Why not, it is the reality of this group and has been for many years. Yes the world is watching so what? You can’t hide the way it really is deal with it!
What incenses me is the intervention of a person who really has not been involved in the sport for 20+ years. If it is the Whitney brother I think it is he makes a living as a one-man band, there is your normal responsible person. The voice of reason him self and he felt that he was important enough to e-mail and criticize an AMA (word removed by request). Everyone on both sides of the issue should have told him to go to hell. Then finished their debate however it came out.
The end result of his butting in and the lack of reality on CMJ’s part is this. Your one and only AMA D-37 (word removed by request) who cared about the sport as a whole will no longer be associated with sidecars in the district. Will CMJ step up and take an official position at district? Will anyone else in the LA click? No they are to busy patting their own ass and admiring them selves to do that. Hell they would have to attend all those meetings, drive all those miles that they already complain about. In the end you will have no one to represent sidecars at the district level, just the endless chatter of a lunatic. Who in his usual habit will in time alienate all those around him and in time D-37 will forget about sidecars as they have in the past.
