Motorcycle Werks Gardena California buyer beware !!
Here is a lesson learned, I have been a friend with the owners of this company for a number of years. Recently it came to light that money they had been given to broker the purchase of a rare sidecar was never used for that purchase. After a little investigation I found out that the sidecar was never for sale. Also the owner was never given any deposit like Motorcycle Werks said was needed. I also had made a personal loan to these trusted friends, which also has not been paid. I heard plenty of excuses and based on the above situation now know they never would have paid it back. So for those out there that have any contact with this company, beware!
Here is an update to this sad story, I have filed criminal charges against Malcolm Upfield for fraud on this issue and will be filling a civil case on the loan. It should be known that this fellow does contract work for Triumph Motorcycles as a set up and repair company for the movies and magazines. I will be contacting Triumph and all the magazines advising them of the filling of criminal charges and providing them with the case # and situation. It is only fair that they should know what kind of person they are dealing with. It is a suspicion of mine that this person may also have a traceable criminal past back in England and I have written the authorities to see if I can get those records. If they are made public by being given to me I will make them public here and pass this information on to the same people I have mentioned above.
